If any areas of concern are identified, treatment options such as surgical excision, curettage (both performed under local anaesthetic), or liquid nitrogen therapy may be recommended. A biopsy may also be advised to confirm a diagnosis before removal, and this can often be performed during the initial skin check. Excision or curettage procedures will require a separate appointment to ensure adequate time.
