Family Planning and Fertility
Our GPs provide pre-conception counselling, fertility assessment and family planning advice. Consultations may include review of medical and reproductive history, menstrual cycles, medications, lifestyle factors and relevant investigations. Where clinically indicated, further investigations or referral to a fertility specialist may be recommended.
Antenatal Care
Antenatal shared care allows eligible patients to receive routine pregnancy care jointly between an accredited GP and their participating maternity hospital. Consultations may include routine antenatal assessment, review of pathology and imaging results, preventive health advice, vaccination, pregnancy-related screening and ongoing monitoring throughout pregnancy. Suitability for antenatal shared care depends on individual clinical circumstances and hospital eligibility requirements.
Cervical Screening Test (CST)
Cervical Screening Tests are available for eligible patients aged 25–74. Both clinician-collected and self-collected HPV screening options may be available. If you have abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, discharge or other symptoms, please book a GP consultation for further assessment.
Iron Deficiency and Iron Deficiency Anaemia
Assessment may include review of symptoms, dietary factors, menstrual blood loss, gastrointestinal symptoms, pregnancy history, medications and relevant pathology results. Management depends on the underlying cause, severity of deficiency and individual clinical circumstances. Where clinically appropriate, intravenous iron therapy may be considered following medical assessment. The GP will discuss treatment options, potential benefits, risks, contraindications and follow-up requirements prior to treatment.
Contraceptive Implant Insertion/Removal
Our qualified GPs provide contraceptive implant insertion, removal and replacement. A consultation is required to assess medical suitability and discuss contraceptive options, contraindications, expected bleeding patterns, potential adverse effects and alternative methods of contraception. The procedure is performed following appropriate clinical assessment and informed consent.
Intrauterine Device (IUD) Insertion/Removal
A consultation is required before IUD insertion to assess suitability, review your medical history and discuss the most appropriate contraceptive options. Your GP will also explain what to expect, including possible side effects, risks, preparation and after-care.
