Family Planning and Fertility
Our GPs provide comprehensive support for family planning and fertility, whether you are considering starting a family now or in the future. We offer guidance on pre-conception health, fertility awareness, contraceptive planning, and options for optimising your reproductive wellbeing. Your doctor can discuss lifestyle factors, medical considerations, and next steps, and arrange further investigations or specialist referrals when needed.
Antenatal Care
The Antenatal Shared Care program allows your pregnancy to be managed collaboratively by your GP and your chosen hospital service. Several of our GPs are accredited to provide shared care, offering you consistent, coordinated support throughout your pregnancy. This model ensures continuity of care before, during, and after birth, with your GP remaining closely involved in your ongoing health and pregnancy journey.
Cervical Screening Test (CST)
A CST is a quick and simple procedure available to all women aged 25-74 who have ever been sexually active. The test looks at the health of your cervix and can identify the presence of a Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection, which can cause changes to the cells of your cervix and, in rare cases, cervical cancer. All of our GPs are available to perform CSTs.
Menopause/Perimenopause Consult
This consultation provides dedicated support for women experiencing symptoms of perimenopause or menopause. It offers time to discuss symptoms, review medical history, and explore treatment options such as hormone therapy, non-hormonal therapies, and lifestyle approaches. The goal is to develop a personalised plan to help manage the physical and emotional changes during this stage of life.
Contraception
Our GPs provide comprehensive contraception care to help you choose the method that best suits your lifestyle, health needs, and future plans. We offer advice on a wide range of options, including the oral contraceptive pill, contraceptive injections, Implanon insertion and removal, hormonal and copper IUDs, and other long-acting reversible contraceptives. Your doctor can discuss effectiveness, side effects, and suitability to support you in making an informed decision about your reproductive health.
Implanon Insertion/Removal
Implanon is a small contraceptive rod inserted under the skin of the upper arm, lasting up to 3 years. This appointment includes a brief review and the insertion, removal, or replacement of the implant. Mild bruising or tenderness at the site can occur. After-care instructions will be provided.
IUD Insertion/Removal
Our GPs are experienced in the insertion and removal of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs), including Implanon and both hormonal and copper IUDs. We offer personalised advice to help you choose the most suitable option, along with safe and supportive care throughout the procedure. A pre-insertion consultation is required for IUDs to review your medical history and ensure the method is right for you.
